City of Olathe Comprehensive Plan Update – Your Plan, Your Future

A preliminary draft of the updated Comprehensive Plan will be presented for public comment and review at two open houses scheduled for Wednesday, March 10, and Thursday, March 11. The purpose of these open houses is to present an overview of the plan, answer questions, and gather input from the public. The Comprehensive Plan documents the community's vision for how Olathe will grow and develop today and in the future, and influences policies that have a direct bearing on the quality of life that citizens enjoy in Olathe.

Over the past year, we have listened to your ideas at public events and festivals, visioning sessions and workshops, meetings with civic and social organizations, neighborhood groups, community groups, homeowner associations, school PTO's and numerous other venues. We have also received your feedback through the Comprehensive Plan update website: www.planolathe.com. Now it is time for you to tell us whether we got it right.

You are invited to attend one of two open houses to learn about the draft Comprehensive Plan, get your questions answered, and provide feedback to help shape Olathe's future:

* Sign language and Spanish language interpreter services will be provided at this open house. Broadcast live on Olathe Government Television Network and webcast live through www.olatheks.org.

The open houses will begin with a presentation promptly at 6pm that provides an overview of the draft plan, followed by an opportunity to ask questions and learn more. In addition to the public open houses, the presentation will be rebroadcast on the Olathe Government Television Network.
